Mouth ulcers (also known as canker sores) are small and painful lesions that develop in the mouth or at the base of gums.  They usually go away within one to two weeks. 


 

KEY CAUSES

B12 deficiency can lead to mouth ulcers; Deficiency of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants; Compromised immunity; Overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans within the mouth; In some sensitive people, foods like chocolate, coffee, eggs, cheese, and spicy or acidic foods can provoke enough irritation to form a sore; Helicobacter pylori (the same that causes peptic ulcers and herpes); Autoimmune conditions; Toothpaste with fluoride and other chemicals; High levels of toxins in the body; Smoking; Stress or anxiety; Hormonal imbalance.

 

BENEFICIAL NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS

  • Sublingual Methylcobalamin B12 2000-3000mcg after breakfast under the tongue until recovery. After recovery 1000mcg continuously.

  • Vitamin D3 (20,000 IU every day after breakfast for 2 weeks, followed by 5000 IU every day after breakfast all the time). Keep in mind that if you take supplemental Vitamin D you also must take Magnesium as it is required for the conversion of D3 into active D4 vitamin in kidneys.

  • Magnesium such as Magnesium Citrate powder 200mg twice daily.

  • Multivitamin (with B complex, Zinc, Selenium, etc) such as Healthy Mega or Day-vit Active.

  • Probiotic formula (UltarPobio, DailyProbio, ImmuProbio, etc.)

  • Black Seed Oil: One teaspoon three times daily with meals. After recovery take one teaspoon daily with meals continuously.

  • Chlorella (10 tablets 30 minutes before meals two times daily) or Super Greens powder (1 tablespoon twice daily 30 minutes before meals with juice or smoothie) to detoxify the body.

 

EXTERNALLY

  • Mix one drop of Tea Tree Oil with one teaspoon of raw Coconut Oil and massage the mixture onto the ulcer area as often as possible.

  • Keep Propolis tablets or Activated Charcoal tablets in the ulcer area.

  • Alternative hot and cold applications on ulcer area improves detoxification, circulation, and immune cells.

 

DIET & LIFESTYLE

Often eat especially raw vegetable salads, raw vegetable juices and smoothies; Avoid or at least reduce refined foods (especially sugar), sweets, dairy, cheese, milk, meat, eggs, chocolate, hot spices except for Cayenne pepper; Drink plenty of clean water and herbal teas.
