  • Diet low in dietary fibre and high in sugar and other refined, processed, and proinflammatory foods.

  • Lack of Vitamins and Minerals responsible for maintaining healthy metabolism, normal appetite, hormonal balance, and normal nervous system function.

  • Insulin resistance & chronic high blood glucose.

  • Hormonal imbalance and underactive thyroid.

  • Serotonin and leptin deficiency.

  • Chronic stress.

Effective Weight Loss Strategies

The secret to a successful weight loss treatment should include 3 key elements:

  1. Healthy wholefood, unrefined diet (high in fibre, essential nutrients, and healthy fats).

  2. Regular energetic physical activity.

  3. Good quality Nutritional Supplements including Vitamins, Minerals, Plant Extracts, Super Greens, Dietary Fibers (such as Psyllium Husk) providing all essential nutrients and effective in improving metabolism of fats and carbs, energy  levels, and appetite control.

Fortunately, there is a safe and effective solution to the problem of overweight and obesity. And the good news is that it doesn’t require fasting or counting calories. It is not difficult to implement and doesn’t lead to any undesired side-effects.

First of all, you need to start consuming foods that are high in minerals, vitamins, fibre, and phytochemicals. By doing this you will keep on losing weight without feeling hungry. It means that even if you consume more calories than your body needs, you will still be able to reduce your body weight to normal. In addition, you shouldn’t lose this positive effect as long as you stay on this diet (2).

In order to reduce and control your body weight it is also necessary to stop eating between meals and overeating. The best way to achieve this goal is by getting rid of all the refined and rich in empty calories foods which make you hungry soon after consuming them.

A refined diet, which is low in vitamins and minerals, stimulates our appetite again forcing us to eat between meals in hope that next time we will provide it with sufficient amount of nutrients.

In order to enable this diet to be more effectively used by your body you also need to exercise on a regular basis. It doesn’t mean that without exercising this diet wouldn’t work as you may see the results even without exercising, but if you do include this very important element it will greatly increases the effectiveness of the whole program.

Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss Fat Burning Supplements

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

What is CLA?

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), is a very beneficial type of linoleic polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid, naturally found in foods (such as organic butter) (1).

Why CLA is a healthy omega-6 fatty acid?

Conjugated linoleic acid is one type of omega-6 fat we can afford to eat more of because it tends to act like omega-3 fatty acids in the body boosting fat metabolism and helping lower inflammation. It is also believed that CLA may help reduce hunger through improving the body’s control over the hunger-inducing hormone, called ghrelin (3).

Possible Benefits of CLA

  • Helping with weight loss

  • Improving metabolism of fat and carbohydrates

  • Reducing insulin resistance and helping to normalize blood sugar levels (high blood sugar levels lead to fat accumulation and obesity)

  • Reducing inflammation in the body

  • Muscle-building and strength improvements

Research on CLA

Studies have found evidence that CLA not only reduces body weight and body fat mass but may also help increase lean muscle mass (4).

According to a 2009 report, CLA may reduce fat because of its impact  on 1) energy metabolism, 2) adipogenesis, 3) inflammation, 4) lipid metabolism, and 5) apoptosis (5).

In animal studies, CLA has also been found to lead to increased energy expenditure, increased fat oxidation and browning of subcutaneous white adipose (fat) tissue.

A study found that supplementation of a CLA in overweight and obese people decreased body fat mass and increased lean body mass. Other studies have shown similar results and that CLA also has no adverse effects on overall blood lipids, inflammation levels and insulin response in healthy, overweight and obese adults (4).

Mice supplemented with a CLA mixture for four weeks reduced their food intake and experienced liver function improvements.

CLA can stabilize blood sugar and help someone stick to a low-sugar, low-carb diet that’s beneficial for individuals with diabetes and obesity.

The aim of the key ingredient of Carboslim, known as Phase 2 (from white kidney bean extract), is to delay digestion and inhibit the absorption of sugary and starchy foods by interfering with the enzyme called alpha-amylase released by the pancreas when we eat carbohydrate foods.

The Phase 2 is to block the breakdown of starches and carbs into glucose, allowing  carbohydrates to pass through the system unchanged.

Human studies indicated that this amylase-inhibiting effect of Phase 2 compound causes starches to pass through the GI tract undigested, thus lowering blood glucose levels within 15 to 80 minutes following the intake of starchy foods (6).

In addition, it helps reduce body weight by decreasing the digestion and absorption of sugar from food and reduces the demand for insulin release. Lower insulin blood concentration leads to reduced amount of sugar converted to fat and stored.

Chromium - Required for the normal metabolism of carbohydrates (sugars), protein and fat; Increases the effectiveness of insulin (the lower the requirement for insulin the less sugar is converted by insulin to fat and stored); Required for regulating blood sugar (high blood sugar levels lead to fat accumulation and obesity); Helps to reduce weight by decreasing the amount of fat in the body.; Increases body heat, thus boosting energy expenditure (more fat and sugar are burned to make energy); Helps suppress the appetite.
